Subject: Cleveland area trail running
I've been doing a bit of trail running at CVNP. Most of the trail sections I know of that are within a reasonable distance (I'm a Cleveland West Sider) are pretty tough and I'm ok with that for some runs. However can anybody suggest some trails that are more moderate for the times I want to go out for an easier or longer run?

You can always run the bridle trails at the metroparks. Rocky River Reservation, Mill Stream Run, etc.

Absolutely, the MetroParks paths are great for running, and most every entrance to the Metro Parks is great for doing hill repeats.

 

Also, if you want fast, flat, and easy - there is always the TowPath... it is pancake flat.

Hit the rocky river bridle path on Saturday for an hour. flat, non technical but mostly secluded. very nice.

 

What's procedure for encountering horses on the run?

I usually stop running and take a few steps off the bridal path, wait for the horses to pass and then start running again. 

 

If you're interested there's a group of us that run the trails on Wed. afternoons in Berea.

I'd only be able to make the occasional run but I would absolutely be interested in Wednesday runs as schedule permits. Can you give me some details?
