Subject: flo 90 and ultegra 11-23
Anyone here use an ultegra 11-23 (or similar i suppose) on their flo wheels? I bought a new cassette to use on my 2012 p2 along with new FLO wheels and can't seem to get the rear derailer to line up properly. I can't reach the top gear and the chain falls off onto the drop in the smallest cog. The old wheel / ultegra 11-25 worked perfectly. The new cassette i received from an Ebay seller didn't come with a spacer to use between the cassette and wheel and i believe that is the issue. Before i take to the LBS to have a look i thought I'd check to see what others experience has been. Thanks

if it had a spacer before it's going to need one with the new cassette too. this was the case for my FLO 90.

Unless you have a 10speed specific hub you will need the spacer. Also seems like you H/L screws on the derailleur are not set correctly. Try reading this

There was no spacer before because it is a new wheel and new cassette....

How do I know if I have a 10 speed specific hub? Going from a 12-25 to 11-23 cassette, should I generally need to adjust the derailer? Swapping the old wheel back onto the bike works with no issues.

spacer should have come with the cassette. If not drop by the lbs and pick one up.

Not very much most likely.

BTW the spacer is a very thin washer that comes in the cassette box, its easy to miss if you don't know what your looking for.

I have an 11x23 DA with Flo 90.  You will need that lower spacer.  Here is a techdoc for it.

Sorry I am a little late to chime in.  I'm glad that you got things squared away.  Just to be clear cassette bodies on hubs are designed to accept a wide range of cassettes.  For example, the cassette body on the wheels you have will accept 8, 9 or 10 speed shimano.  It's not a FLO thing it's an industry standard.  The new 11s shimano groupsets are completely different.  Shimano has changed the pattern on the cassette body requiring you to swap it out if you want to upgrade to 11s.

Let me know if I can answer any other questions.

Take care,
