Well the holidays hit me hard this year, I ended up getting sick and not being able to exercise and by not exercising I was eating everything I wanted. I gained 4lbs! But I have started working out hard and eatingnright again. I'm noticing that if I do not workout that it is easier to eat bad food. Anyone else have this problem?

I have this problem as well. I find that as I exercise, I'm more motivated to eat healthier, which in turn gives me more energy for exercise. I think it is a snow ball effect for me and the inertia to start "being healthy" is hard as hell. Good for you for smashing inertia!

I'm with you!  4 pounds isn't the end of the world...don't dwell on it and don't worry about making up for lost time, etc.  Just worry about your next decision.  What's your next meal going to be?  Is it time to work out again? I know the first few back are tough, but dig for a moment and you'll be looking forward to the victorious feeling again you get after a good workout in no time!

Agreed with the others.  4 pounds isn't too bad.  Just pick up where you left off.  I'm in the same boat as you are.  I tore a calf muscle in January and have not been able to run at all and have had very limited time on the bike.  Decided to start swimming because I am a triathlete wannabe.  Even swiming was limited because it hurt my calf!  I'm about to get back to running this week I hope!

I am also with that I tend to eat a lot worse when I am not training!

I definitely find it easier to eat healthier on the days I workout.  It's part of the reason I like to work out early - for the rest of the day and night, I can ask myself if I REALLY want to eat something and waste all of that hard work I did that morning.
