Subject: Looking for an Oly Length Event near Philly

I am trying to put together a schedule for 2013. 

First of is GTN in May.

I would like to do an Oly length event in June or July, ideally within 1 hour drive of Metro Philadelphia (I live in Chester County).  I don't want to do the philly tri, it's too crowded for me, and I have to work that weekend anyway.

So far, the only one I can see is the NJ State Tri in July.  I would prefer a hilly bike ride, and this one is flat.

Any other events that might fit the bill?

Steelman is first week of August in Quakertown. It's a hilly bike ride with closed roads, plenty of room. They limit the number registered to 1000 (I think) because of parking issues.

Steelman in Quakertown PA is in Aug. 13 it is a bit late but it is a good race. http://www.steelmantriathlon.com/

 

There is Anthricite Tri in July Jim Thorpe PA. It is an easy drive but about 2 hours. I did it in 2011 and drove up the day of early. It wasn't a big deal. I don't see a date listed for this year.

X3 for Steelman. Very well run race. Lancaster Family YMCA Tri used to be a great event until speedwell forge got drained and they turned it into a Duathlon.

Also can check out the Presidential Lakes Olympic Challenge by DQ in Pemberton Twp, NJ (Early August)

Thanks, I  do know BBT is good, but it's on the same weekend as GTN which I have signed up for.

A nice series of low-key, mostly local races. Sadly, I don't think they have an oly distance race on the schedule that fits what you were looking for, though...

I do a lot of those. They are all within an hour to an hour and a half from Philly. Very well run, but no hills as they're all in south jersey.
