 1660    |  Subject: How many colds did you get this winter?3 colds in the past 2 months and the winter's not even over yet!! Fortunately, they haven't been bad, and definitely not flu, but this whole sore throat -> cough -> congestion/mucous secretion cycle is getting really old! |

Pro 5361 | Subject: RE: How many colds did you get this winter? 1 so far. was draggin' for a couple days and missed 1 day of running due to it, and it left me with a 2 week cough, which is now mostly better. I got the flu shot- and what I had 'may' have been the flu virus for which I had some good protection. not sure. |

At any rate, I'm on a third course of antibiotics since October and have been coughing for almost three months. It has been a very rough winter, and I hear it's bad everywhere. |

Had some yuck virus in early Sept. that involved stuffed head, low fever (mostly at night), fatigue, muscle aches, and lack of appetite (really unusual for me); lingered almost three weeks. Not sure if it was a cold, or low-grade flu or sinus infection as it never quite got acute enough to seek medical attention. Plus one case of norovirus or food poisoning that lasted about a day. Except for stupid injuries, have been healthy since, knock on wood. |

I've lost 10 lbs and been to the ER three times (though the last one wasn't really needed. My temperature hit 103.3 and I got really worried) I was concerned that my immune system had been weakened, so I requested lab work. It came back relatively normal, so it looks like this is just a really horrible flu season. |

I really never get sick (can't even remember last cold it has been so long) but just did my first HIM on Saturday and I knew that I would probably get sick afterward since my body would be broken down and it is flu season. Sure enough I got the flu and am sitting in bed right now with a fever and feeling like poo. I have also lost even more weight than I did in the HIM. I haven't been this weight for over 15 years. UGH |

Three: 2 standard colds & then a nasty 2 week virus that gave me secondary infections in my ear, sinuses, and lungs (acute bronchitis). I'm just now starting to feel human after a round of antibiotics and 5 days of prednisone. I have asthma, allergies, and an autoimmune disorder, so I am particularly susceptible to getting sick. |

Just got over my first - knocked me on my butt so I missed two days of training and then only did about 2/3 of training for a week (cancelled the two-a-days). I feel lucky though. Some friends had a two week flu - and I missed that entirely. |
