Name: Ryan Bemont
Age: 30
Ht/Wt: 6/3 200
M-Status: married
Kids: 2.5yo old son (Jacob), baby girl on the way in April '04
College: Professional Biology Degree, Teacher Certification -- College Baseball Pitcher
Porfession: Science Teacher -- Physcial Science, Biology, Chemistry
Location: North Central Illinois
Pets: 2 dogs, Oscar (black lab) & Chula (Australian Cattle dog) Did I really just type my pets' names?

I'm a tall athletic guy. After 3 years of strength training (pretty good progress) I finally decided to do something that I am more gentically setup to do and something I can compete in. I'm no bodybuilder or powerlifter, and I love (i.e., need) competition.

I am planning on doing 3 triathlons this next year ... [1] The Tri-Shark (Leroy, Bloomington, IL), [2] The Stoneman (Springfield, IL) and the Chicago (my brother-in-law lives right by Foster's turnaround).

I am planning on jumping up to Olympic distances after the summer (04) is over. I train each event 3 times per week. Swim 2 days drills, one day key workout. run = 1 recovery run, 1 key workout, 1 LSD. BIke is the same as run.

Right now I am staying primarily in zone 2, but the key workout is usually zone 3.

ok, so your this 'triple threat' guy.    glad to have u here and glad for the comments so far.  sweet that your using the logs.  one thing i have in mind is that when people ask questions about training or injuries, if they use the training logs here that are hooked up and public with this board, we can do a lot better job helping people.

i'll start working on those programs....oh yeah...sherricks a good guy...he has written the HR training articles here.

is it just me or r several of us going to have a new family addition next year?  great!

It'll be an interesting training experiment with a newborn and a 3-year old to be.

I'm calling it "Sleeping in 3 hour blocks" (patent pending)

If this next one is anything like the last one, my summer highlights will include "Watching All in Family at 1am on Nick at nite while feeding the baby".

I'm holding out hope that we'll be one of the "lucky ones" that gets that newborn that sleeps for 10 hours at a time.

Is it just me or is it a "landmark" day when the baby has developed the "holding their own bottle skill"?

it IS a landmark day when they are self feeding.  the big day is potty-trainined.  although, having the choice, i would pick potty-trainind at 8mo over self feeding.
