I am not a heel stomper. I'm looking for a shoe with the most padding in the front to help with a shin injury. Most mid or fore striker shoes are nearly minimalist, and too hard on my leg. And the shoes with alot of padding are usually for heel stompers. I'm looking at the brooks pure drift/connect/flow models. Any ideas?

Aren't Newton shoes designed for this exact purpose?

Thanks! There's a retailer who carries them about 40 miles from me, I'll see what they're like this weekend.

Altras. Zero drop and available in differing cushion amounts. I'm a mid foot striker but like a little bit of cushion and I love my Altras!!!!

I run in newton motion and love them. I'm 225 and have no issues with padding.

I had a very similar issue and concern as you.

I got the Newton Gravity and now I swear by them.
