Subject: giro advantage or air attack?

Hi,

Just wondering what your thoughts are between giro advantage or air attack for IM?

What would you buy?

Have you tried the advantage on? Ear covers are tight for some and make it hard to put it on. The other big consideration is positioning. Long tails are not as aero for people who dip/bury their head.

If the Advantage works for you, then that's a better option. The Air Attack is a good "in-between" option (it's better than a regular road helmet, but not a aero as a dedicated aero helmet).

Hi... Thanks for the feedback! I've tried on a few aero options and the advantage felt the most comfortable.  The air attack is about the same price so I was looking at the because it looks more like a traditional helmet as opposed to the other imposing aero designs!

You're comparing "apples and oranges"... yes, both offers aerodynamic advantages compared to a standard road helmet, but to a quite different degree. If you're looking for an aero helmet, stick with the Advantage. If you're looking for an aero road helmet (primarily for non-draft legal racing, such as road racing or ITU races)

Big empty. Get the air attack. Just got one it is killer! I would have to seriously challenge that this helmet will be less aero than standard wing tip tear drop aero helmets. Especially if you move your head position around in a race ie look down, sideways, sit up, etc, cross wind etc. I feel like I am cutting right through the atmosphere with this unit. I have tried tardiz, giro advantage, bell aero ... I will never go back. I can not even get over how excellent it is! And let's face it ... Aero helmets are ridiculous looking.
