OK - I've never started one of these threads for the daily workout and will apologize upfront and profusely if I've violated protocol!

I just had to post up, though, as it is SUNNY here today and I get to workout!!!  Very excited, clearly...

Easy 3-4 mile run and 1500-2000yds in the pool today.

The bubble isn't off the pool yet (it actually collapsed about 4 blizzards ago - which was only a month ago), but I can sense it coming - then I get to swim OUTSIDE, too.  It's almost Spring - for real (he said with 15" of snow on the ground, but with hope and excitement).

Its aleady nice and sunny here in Afghanistan. Although we do still have the occaisional thunderstorm...and no pool, but...

5.3 miles in 52:40 today. It was pretty windy, which means it was pretty dusty. Cant wait to see ho much faster I can run when I get out of the altitude in a couple months.

Sunny and how! 96 degrees here for a high here in Saigon. At least it is usually dry heat for the next month or so. AM 90 minute run with 20 one-minute fartlek pickups. (I can say that on this forum, right? I spend way too much time with 10 year olds!) PM 3400m of swimming, an evil mix of pulling with paddles and all-out 400/300/200/100m repeats. Pool actually not too bad (it can be too warm sometimes) and the weather had cooled by the time I finished. Either that, or I had cooled, or both!

Stay safe in Afghanistan! Can't imagine. I thought Beijing was bad for dust and "true grit"....

Hey early birds!  Anyone who beats me up in the morning gets to post first! Laughing

4:00am:  10  mile run, was dreading it as I knew my legs have a lot of miles on them this week, but actually felt really good.  I'm taking a car full of girls shopping in Salt Lake City today--I knew I would want to sleep in tomorrow due to the exhaustion of today! Glad I got it in.

Have a fantastic day!!!

Oh, cold, windy and grey in the desert today.  I envy all of your sunny forecasts!

Snigger....

Beginning taper for HM next weekend. 10 Mile run and trying out shorts despite the temperature. Next week is forecast to be 10 degrees cooler at race start time. I rate racing in pants.

It is always exciting when it's a sunny day in New England. I have Masters Swimming this morning and I am happy there are huuuuuge windows letting in lots of light into the pool. The group is doing a run after the swim, but I don't think I can handle it. I'm usually wiped after a session with this group! Have a great day everyone!

It's sunny here in VA too! I'm debating whether to run today or tomorrow as I need to start the taper and that doesn't involve consecutive days running. :-). Maybe a short 4-5 miles today, then 13 tomorrow and start taper Monday :-). It's so nice out there!Have a great weekend everyone

Unfortunately head cold # 2 of the season Won out today, I had been managing all my workouts this week with the second nasty headcold that I have gotten this year, but I think yesterday pool stint was the overload, last night fever and chills set in so bike class today was a definate no go. I am hoping it's near the end of its run and that this is it's final last hurrah before taking a hike.

Sleet forecasted here so, I'll decide if it is worth a run outside. Five miles either on the treadmill or outside.

Just back from a super nice 4 mile very easy pace run, my son asked if he could run with me today. He did really well, it was so much fun, although I think he's a little tired now :-) Will fit in the long run tomorrow at some point, then it's serious tapering for the next 10 days.

A beautiful sunny day here for this morning's Frosty Fun Run series final run. 4.3 miles with the local running community and everyone smiling, clapping for the winners, and just having a great time.

Sunny in VT today as well.  Ski most of the morning and then took the bike out for a quick 10 miles of climbing practice.  Since I brought my bike with me to VT it snowed just enough to make the roads not safe enough for me all week except for today, didn't get the bike ride I wanted to in but will wait a couple of weeks for that climbing practice.  Rumor has it Killington is going to bring back their tri which is a timed mogul run, mountain biking and then a trail run.  Need to get in shape for that fun.

20 mile cycle.  Tried to go riding with a local Triathlon club, but got dropped around mile 5 when they decided they were done warming up and switched to a new gear XD  I had a nice tour of Irvine and Shady Canyon, though :3  (One day I'll get as fast as them!)

Lap swimming at the apartment pool (darn you, rain last night!), 30 minutes, then had enough dodging children so I did 10 minutes of pool running.

Recovery week after a metric century last week, but gotta ramp up a bit again.  HIM in 21 days D:
