We are vacationing in the area next week. Camping at Fontainebleau State Park. Any paths/good roads or routes to take for riding? I would probably try to start from the campsite.

Also, any good public places to swim? I would assume the water in the lake will be too cool?

There is the Trace which is a nice bike path. You can ask the folks at the gate how to get to it from the park. Not sure where you can swim besides the lake but again ask the folks at the gàte.

The Tammany Trace actually runs through the park you're staying at.  Take it east and it'll end in Slidell, and west will run you up to Covington, about a 11-12 mile ride.

The water temp in the lake right now is in the high 50's.
