I'm having trouble getting a good night's sleep after I run in the evenings. Last night I finished a 5 mile run at about 7:00 pm and went to bed at 9:30 and didn't sleep well all night even though I was really tired. If I run in the mornings I don't seem to have the same problem. I would always run in the morning but it has become easier for me to get time to run after work.
2 to 2.5 hours might not be enough time for your body to adjust. I keep the same bedtime as you, but when I ran at night it was usually in the 5:30 time frame.
