Subject: 2012 Focus Chrono 2.0 tri bike

I've been competing in tris for just two seasons and I've been riding a Giant road bike.  So I've been looking to upgrade to a tri bike.  I came across an ad on craiglist selling a 2012 Focus Chrono 2.0 bike.  Just wondering how good a bike this is.  Below is the link:

Thanks

Phillip

Focus makes really nice bikes and they're quite common in EU, but you don't see too many State side. If I remember correctly, the geometry of the Chrono 2.0 is geared towards a TT bike, not a tri bike... you can almost tell by the photo in the ad as well, the seat tube angle is quite slack.

The most important is the fit... if this bike fits YOU (and completely ignore the 5'9" mention in the ad, height is a REALLY poor indicator of fit), then this is a good bike but the price is quite a bit too high... I don't doubt the MSRP is over $3k, but the bike is not worth $2200... for that money, you can do better (you can even get a new bike with warranty for that...)

Agree with Jan... Bike was designed by Walser. At one point (and still could be true) Walser had the fastest TT bike split in the TdF.
