I'm considering upgrading my components from 105's to Ultegra. Should I bite the bullet and go all the way to Dura-Ace?

I just ugraded parts of my 105 to partial Dura ace and Ultegra (Dura derailier, Ultegra cassette). The big reason I upgraded was to go from 8 to 9 speed. If you are already at 9, I think the payoff is minimal in terms of weight shavings. Unless you have already geeked out the other parts that IMO have more payoff (aero/weight wise) I would spend my $ on trick wheels or aero bars, etc. I am very happy with my mix of parts. The duraace cassettes have titanimum larger rings and the Ultegra was the same as or lighter than my old 8. :-)

I went from 105 to Ultegra about 3 months ago. I can feel the differance in the shifting/Ultegra is more responsive ans smooth. Weight savings is minimal. As far as Dura-Ace, I looked at them and the price differance is quite significant-I judged it to be to expensive for the slight weight savings. Also keep in mind that the 2004 Dura-Ace is a 10 speed rear cassette, so the upgrade must be done as a whole unit rather than just few peices and parts.

So, an upgrade from Sora to Ultegra will make a lot of diference?

My front and rear derailier are Sora, but my bar-end shifters (aerobars) are Ultegra.  Will I notice any difference upgrading the derailiers to Ultegra?
