due to a high concentration of *ahem* "uninterested" males at my university (well, theyre interested in eachother), coupled with the taken ones and an almost 60/40 female to male ratio, the dating pool for single young women at Otterbein is slim...very, very slim. So my 2 extremely attractive, smart, independent roommates decided on night after a (couple) glasses of wine to put up profiles on Match.com. Let us just say, the responses were mostly from much more, umm...mature men. We used to sit in the hallway and laugh our butts off while they read their replies. One roommate went out with a couple different ones, some good, some bad, but few with any real substance that could hold a conversation w/ her.

Men: Anyone who is reasonably personable/confident will ask people out in person. If they are half way decent and just shy a friend will set them up. What is left over are the dregs that didn't have confidence, aren't personable and their friends (if they have any) didn't think enough of them to set them up.
Women: Men are idiots and they have these arbitrary rules for not dating women. E.g., the woman has been married, the woman has kids, she's not young enough or doesn't have big who-ha's, she's too____(fat,skinny,short, tall, brunette/blond/redhead).
The cross section thus becomes lame to reasonably cool chicks matched with mutant men.

I thought yall were keeping your love affair off the boards?
