You know the stupid things you've done and you think you'll only do them once?

Putting my fancy pants car key ($200 to replace) through the wash--two different times, two different keys.  <facepalm>

Got one?

I've sent two phones through the wash... one was a smartphone... guess I shouldn't be doing the laundry >_>

Ziploc bag full of rice saved my Nissan smart key after being laundered. Give it 3-4 days and in the rice ASAP.

Another thing you might look into. My key is $250 from the dealer, but if I have two that work I can program a 3rd. I got an unprogrammed uncut key off eBay for $65 and programmed it myself using the trick in the owner's manual.

Might work for your car too, could save you some money on future laundered keys.

Ditto. If spare parts from broken pairs of sunglasses were valuable, I'd be retired.

that's a lot of forgetting... most jurisdictions it takes more than 3 tickets to get booted!

I have electric hedge clippers and I sever an extension cord nearly every time I use them.

Hah!  I cut my circular saw cord with the circular saw.  Felt like the biggest idiot in the world.

Hangover. Although I don't deal with them anymore, it did take many years to learn from it. Surprised

Bleach.  If there was some way to properly predict the splash radius it'd be awesome.

I second/third the sunglasses too.  Wife bought me a nice pair of Oakleys for xmas.  No way they make it through golf season.

Ouch.. but funny...

I accidentally cut the cable line when shoveling dirt, (even after having it marked beforehand) and I thought it would cost me a million dollars to get repaired.
