I bought my son (15YO) a pare of Nike Men's Free 3.0 a few days less than a month ago.

He has run in 5 or 6 times and maybe wore to school twice. I really do not see any tread-wear on the bottom.

They are ripped through on the side.

Nike Free 3.0

well I don't think that pic worked but you can see it HERE

I bought them through Road Runner Sports. They have a 90 day no questions asked return policy if you don't like running in the shoe, but that is not the problem, it is the quality.

Am I wrong to return these? I don't want to take advantage...

Return them.

Shoes should not fall apart in less than a month.

Road Runner Sports will take them back or replace them, which ever you chose. They're a fantastic company when it comes to customer service.

If they're ripped already, then obviously there's something wrong with them. You're not taking advantage

Return them.  Their customer service and return policy is great.  I wouldn't buy from any other company for this reason.

I'm with the others... return them.  That of course is only if this is a quality issue.  Not saying that it isn't but that is just a weird spot for the material to just tear all on its own.

The upper of the shoe is a fabric that  is sock-like. Very soft, they feel great but I'm not sure they are hardy enough to actually be used for a sport, though they are listed as a running shoe.

I had pushed the hole open for the pic- but you can see the stress horizontally on the other diamond shapes on the side of the shoe.  I was thinking he may have pronating issues looking at  THIS picture (the one with the hair #16).

But still, I do not thing the shoe should be tearing in less than month.

ah yea I can see where that would cause a lot of stress on the outside if he lands like that... I'd def. send it back and get some new ones.

Fantastic hair by the way!Laughing
