Extreme Veteran  438   Surprise, AZ |  Subject: new to PhoenixGreetings Just moved a few days ago from South Dakota to western phoenix and looking for help/partners to ride with. This is my first year in tri's and intend to run the half IM in October and IMCDA next summer. Have no idea where to get long rides in. Would love to ride with others/ only rode with a group once at home but loved it. Would love to go out riding this weekend. I suppose it is too late to go to the mountain man on Sunday. Not sure if I want to go by myself since I don't know where to go or what to expect (hills, SD is pancake flat for those that have never been there.) Any help would be wonderful. Good luck mountain man participants this weekend. |

What are you training for next? I did the Timex sprint triathlon in Tempe in September and had great fun! I am training for I don't know what, but I'm training and will do more sprint triathlons. Master 1696 Surprise, Arizona | Subject: RE: new to Phoenix I'm also located in the West Valley - in Surprise. I completed the Timex Sprint back in September and the SOMA Quarterman in October, so I am still a newbie (and a slow one at that!). I also completed my first half marathon earlier this month. I've never had the opportunity to train with a partner or group, but it sounds like fun. If any of you are local and at a novice level and want to get together for an occasional weekend training session, maybe we can arrange something, possibly a ride or run at the Arizona canal or something.... |
