Subject: Ode to my Pontiac

On the fourth of July my 1993 Pontiac Bonneville was destroyed in an accident.  Luckily, my son, the driver, was okay.  He was forced off the road by a driver who did not stop to see what he had done.

My son was shaken and is achy today, but my car is totaled.  I am really happy that Mark did not get hurt, but I will really miss that car.  It was by far and away the best car I ever owned.  Pretty much maintenance free and a joy to drive.  I am grateful that yesterday, my son was in that car, because if he was in the jeep wrangler, it would have been a lot worse.

So thank you old friend--you will be remembered by our family fondly.

I'm so glad that your son is fine!! You do have the right thoughts about that. It is hard to lose such a good vehicle, but it does seem that she did one last very good deed in protecting Mark.

wow, how did I miss this post for almost a week?  Glad to hear your son is ok.  Didn't you just get a bike rack for that car??  How's the Subaru search coming along now?  Picking up speed?
