Looking for a disc and ran across this one. Anyone use a Mavic disc? In particular the Mavic Comete road clincher. I can't find a rider weight limit on the Mavic site and haven't heard back from them. I'm in the 230 range and hope to race at 220 in November (and on). The one I'm looking at is used and has an aluminum braking surface so I'd imagine at 225 I'd be okay
A great disc and you won't see for sale used all too often. Combination of very high MSRP and the fact that when people ride them, they tend to hold on to them.
I honestly wouldn't be a bit surprised if they have NO weight limit... they're that stiff, but you can always give Mavic Service center a call at 978-469-8400.
I know that annular tears mean there is a risk for a bigger disc blow-out. How do I continue to train and compete without putting myself at risk for worsening of my injury?
The wheels are my first area of concern and I have started to shop around. I find it nauseating to think of spending the same amount for wheels as my bike. Any help?
