Subject: Specialized Tarmac Elite (2008) vs Focus Cayo 2.0 (2012)
I currently have a specialized Tarmac elite from 2008, it has done approximately 2000 miles so not many. I've upgraded the wheels to specialized roval pave clincher wheels and also crank was changed to a shimano 105 crank. It has 105 gearing also.

A guy I know is selling a focus Cayo 2.0 from 2012 which appears to have done very few miles (approx 300-400) and which looks in mint condition, which he wants £700 for. It has Ultegra gearing.

It seems reasonable but I'm unsure as to whether I'd see much benefit for the upgrade, and would like anyone's opinion on whether to go for it and upgrade or whether to keep my existing bike.

Also, how would the wheel set I have (roval pave clincher) compare to the dt Swiss r1850 wheel set on the cayo? If I purchased the newer bike, would I benefit from keeping the wheel set?

Thanks for any advice.

After riding my bike sometimes I will develop a very sharp intense pain in the first joint of my pointer finger. It seems to happen randomly and it lasts for anywhere from several minutes to an hour.
