Shame on USA sports media for not talking about this .

Congrats to Chris Horner and Radio Shack/Leopard for the Tour Classic win.

And the doping stories begin. I really, really hope this comes to nothing as it was a great race by Horner.

It was a great race.  One of the more exciting stage races I've followed given the way Horner clawed back time on the last few mountain stages...even when on a couple of stages where they didn't expect to be time gaps in the GC.

Not surprised it didn't get any US media coverage though.  It's football season...ESPN has far more important things to cover.

I read yesterday in VeloNews that Horner is still without a contract for 2014

Looks like there may be some issues with Horner's biopassport. I would like to believe that cycling is cleaner now but without a housecleaning, I'm afraid there are too many from the old guard left with control.

Are we at a point now where no matter who it is, if they win they will get questioned?

Unfortunately I think that we are probably at that point for most but since I believe the bio passport has had an impact on the sport (may not be clean but I think that it is cleaner) I prefer to hope that what we see on the road is not pharmacologically inhanced.

I'll be interested to see if the irregularities are echoed by others and what the end result may be. At this point I would be surprised by sanctions but I also think it is unlikely that Horner will get a contract for next year and just quietly retires.

Of course there is also the fact that it is rumoured that Horner was one of the redacted names in the Armstrong reasoned descision so I'm far from shocked that irregularities have been identified.
