All;
As we all continue to praise Lance Armstrong. I wonder how many of us are wearing the yellow wristbands to support the Lance Armstrong Foundation?
Details are available at http://www.wearyellow.comor visit your local Niketown store.

Ian
I'm wearing one. (At least I will when the mailman delivers them)

I do not wear the yellow wrist band because I never heard of it. However, I do ride a yellow bike with yellow bar tape, a yellow saddle and yellow tires; I also wear a yellow jersey. My taste in the colour yellow has less to do with emulating Lance and more to do with being very visible on the road.

All Nike Stores and outlets also sell the bands for $1. All the proceeds go to the Foundation.

I bought mine from a guy on Ebay. He was selling it for the $1 that he paid for it (some people were charging $10-20 for them and making a profit). If you like Lance or not (I do by the way), you have to admit his story is inspirational. He is using his celebrity to get some money to help find a cure for cancer. That's what the wristbands are for. They are only a $1. The goal is 5 million of them. Everyone should get one.

I've never heard of a Nike store; there are many good shops that sell running shoes including Nikes, but not just Nikes. I will look up my favourite Running Room and see if I can get one. It is a very good cause.

I'll try to get one at a bike shop. I've been wondering what everyone has been wearing on their wrists... I thought it had something to do with an access pass to the T de F or something... I see the commentators are wearing theirs, and Lance is wearing one too. My dad is a cancer survivor, so it makes sense I go see if I can get one myself!

Thanks for the tip!

Yes... I've still got mine on... Hey, you can see it in the photo at left! And now J Lo and Angelina Jolie are wearing them too... I saw GWB had his on the other day... Apparently he and Lance are friends... I wear this thing every day... I wear office attire to work, we are business casual, so it's not suits and pantyhose, but it's still nice clothing, the good shoes, and a yellow rubber band.... LOVE IT.

If I have my facts right, after Lance won his first TdF, he was invited to the Texas state capital for a special ceremony to recognize his accomplishment. The governor of Texas at that time was GWB and they've been friends ever since. As you probably already know, Lance is from Austin.

Why not order them directly from laf.org?

I don't remember why... I think it was because they were only offering them in $10 packs and at that time I didn't know what I was going to do with 10 yellow wristbands... I know, I know... Looking back, it makes better sense to just order 10 thru laf, rather than order 1 measly band and pay all that shipping and handling. I bought the others at a bike store, though, and gave them to my parents... They are still wearing them!

I bought the ten pack, everytime someone asked what mine was or where they could get one, I gave them one of the extras. There was a recent article in the local paper about the scarcity at local stores (Academy, Dillard's), which has made them even hotter and harder to find.
