First mile was great (9:23), was mostly downhill. Tried to do my evolution running technique and "fall" down the hills. Second mile started the uphill climbs. Lots of hills. Third mile was a steady uphill climb with a steep uphill at the very end.

It was both exhillarating and humbling to see my 11-year-old daughter dogging my heals the entire time. I had planned on running my own race and not slowing for her.... and I didn't..... so for her to finish a mere 15 seconds behind me just awes me. I'm speechless.

Run more. My running base is nonexistant.

Walked around the finish area, drank some cold water.


My lack of natural running ability, my lack of base, and my lack of desire to run.


Post-race party was awesome!!!! DJ, beer, second story pavillion, dancing, rain, great people... couldn't have asked for a better evening.
