Subject: Apple/Office Compatibility
Thinking about breaking down and buying an iPad air, for a variety of uses. One thing I would like to do with or is view and manipulate documents I create at work using MSOffice. Can anyone relate first-hand experience as a heavy user of MSOffice-type documents on an iPad, and the "real" compatibility of Pages, Nimbers,and Keynote with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint?

Also how much storage do I need? As a point of reference I have a 32 GB iPhone with about 10GB free space, most if the usage is music. Probably wouldn't put that much music on an iPad, but are there other storage issues I'm not considering?

Well the good news is you get iWork apps for free with a new iPad. How compatible really depends on what your documents are like. If they are basic and use basic formulas etc in excel you should be fine. If iWork apps don't work for you, there are a number of MS office apps on the ipad, although none are MS official.
