Yes, it does look good.  My husband hinted that it might be a gift for me this year.

I attended the NC Multisport Expo last year and it was a great place to attend some informative sessions. This one should be a bit closer.

Looks pretty cool!  If I'm still in Richmond then, I'll definitely try to attend.

We will be supporting this event as Platinum Sponsors, and hope to see it continue to develop for years to come. The panel looks to be quite impressive.

Bought my ticket this weekend. Looking forward to it.

How about a BT meetup there?

How did you like it?

I found several key take home points from most of the speakers....not overly impressed with the first Dr that spoke--but I have also been to his office and found him to be a bit of a jerk.  The last Dr that spoke blew through the technical material on VO2 max/ FTP and the like as if we were all subject matter experts so that was not fun either....overall though I felt it was an excellent day.

I liked the idea of the presentation on injury prevention and as well the ones on the physiological effect of training on the body. I take all doctors with a grain of salt though, that's why they "practice" medicine. We have been discussing the merits of HIIT training in our mentor forum so the info on VO2 max/LT was very timely for me.

Michellie's speech really came to life when she started the question and answer part

Chris is the main reason I went to the expo. His idea of training is the most common sense approach I've seen so far.

Frankie was a bit flat on his subject but still enjoyed the stories of the TdF.

Thought that more vendors would be selling stuff, Brought some spare money to burn but brought it all home. I'm sure that 3Sport would have loaded a new Cervelo in my car if wanted to though. :-)

Talked to Andy, Good Luck with the new job BTW!

Overall, I like the whole Expo.

I thought is was good also. I think world class athletes do better by telling stories about their races and getting points across. Michellie did that mostly, Andreu did not. Too bad because I bet he had some great stories to tell. I thought Dr. Magrum did a good job on the PT side of running injuries. Unfortunately, Wilder didn't give him much time. Carmichael was good and I ordered his book. Cutter on the Physiology was good, but I agree a little too high end for the group. Yea, it would have been nice to see some more equipment vendors and lunch was lacking.

I had almost left before Frankie Andreau spoke because I was just tired of sitting.  I found him fairly engaging.  He had a lot of good points about how we psych ourselves in / out of events.  I think though all of us take away what we needed to hear (& understood) of each presentation.  I think it would be great if they had some different topics for future events--dietitians, trainers from gyms who might suggest strength training that could be an asset to tri training....the like.

I thought Michellie was hysterical, she wandered around a bit but once she got to her point she was great.  Kind of like I could sit down and BS with her all day and learn a lot in the humorous stories.

ETA, yes  the sponsor area didn't have a whole lot for sale from the vendors.  I could have walked out with a new saddle for my bike if there had been one there....

It was good to see a bunch of you in person. I think Kevin's group will be looking for feedback for next year's event and (if they come back to us for sponsorship again) I will pass it on that many of you wanted to see more retail.

We were pleasantly surprised at the turnout, especially the number of folks we spoke to who had traveled quite a distance to attend (DC, MD, NC). Richmond is fortunate to have such an event.
