Subject: FS: Fizik Ares TT Saddle
I'm selling a Fizik Ares time trial specific saddle that was taken off saddle a purchased bike. It is in good condition, but has one small scuff (shown in photo) where the saddle was leaned against a wall. MRSP is $200 and they go for at least $100 online. I'm asking $75 shipped to the CONUS.

From Fizik:

Ares. Made specific for Time Trial, tested and approved by champions.
Shell: Rilsan Carbon Reinforced - O.M.D.
Rail: K:ium
Cover: Black & White Microtex with :K Design
Weight: 199 gr

The first great feature of the Ares is its short length of 24cm which is the shortest saddle allowed by UCI regulations. This means the saddle can still be moved far forward and still adhere to the UCI time trial regulation of its nose being 5cm behind the bottom bracket shell. No more need to cut off a saddle nose. This is combined with a 40mm wide nose with extra padding for extra stability and comfort in a forward position. The extra padding is found throughout the saddle as well but is very lightweight and low profile. K:ium rails are stronger and lighter than titanium. Sharp looking split two-tone black and white :k logo Microtex cover.

I cannot get comfortable without the nose of the saddle being tilted down. I have tried many different seats and had two professional fittings, but still have excessive numbness and discomfort.

Finding the right bicycle saddle is often a confusing process of trial and error for cyclists. However, a little education goes a long way, and will perhaps save you some pain and discomfort as well.

When first going aero, your shop should begin by putting you in the least aggressive position. This means the aerobar pads will be almost level or just below the saddle.

The ISM Adamo Racing Saddle is difficult to define. It doesn’t look like a bicycle saddle. It doesn’t mount like a bicycle saddle. And yet, it does feel like a bicycle saddle.

Whether your bike is new, new to you, or you have not been on the bike for a long time, you really should spend some time thinking about how your bike fits you.
