5 year cancer free!

Welcome to BT, Monica!!  I am also a 2 time cancer survivor, passed my 10 year mark this past summer for breast cancer, and then I had a melanoma which thankfully was caught early enough that surgery was enough to take care of it.  Super glad to hear you beat OVARIAN cancer, that's a bad one.  I went ahead and had my ovaries taken out after the BC. 

I started triathlon 5 years ago and it has been a life changer.  I love that I am doing something that is healthy for me and is lowering my chances of getting cancer again.  I love having 3 different sports to work on, so I never get burned out on just one.  Mentor groups should be opening up next month, that's a perfect way to meet new people here on BT AND get tons of great info to get you started... it IS addicting, be warned!!  I run a mentor group, but I am going to sit out this round, but will be back when they open up the Spring/Summer groups next year, I'd love to have you join!
