I am in the middle of the decision regarding buying a 2008 P3 Cervelo or a 2012 Felt B16 (both used), the P3 is being sold for $2K and the B16 for $1.5K. Both bikes are in very good conditions (both owners are members of the same tri club I am). Currently I ride a BMC SR01 road bike that is where I do all my training but want to get a triathlon bike to mix training and also to use it for competitions.

Another important thing to mention is that I am a beginner, I made my first sprint on April this year and my first 70.3 in Austin this year, currently training for the 70.3 in Monterrey, MX in March next year.

Thanks a lot!

I don't have any experience or knowledge about the Cervelo, other than that it's pretty popular.  But I do have the 2012 Felt B16 and I've been enjoying it.  Both are probably good choices.

Your best bet would be to try them both out and see if either fits better than the other.

They're both very good bikes, so you can't go wrong with either one. Personally, I really like working on my wife's Felt DA, just a well-designed frame.

Work your weakness. In the sport of triathlon, most coaches agree that you should spend the most time working on your weakest of the three sports. For many of you this will be swimming!
