One of the best things I did when starting my run streak was to break up my current weekly miles and distribute them throughout the week so I was running at least one mile every day at the same total weekly milage.  My long run took a hit but it was ok since I didn't have any major races on the horizon.  I've been working my long run back up now that my daily run is established.  Now, the daily mile is no big deal.

Have you noticed any significant difference since you began you streak? Awesome accomplishment!

Thank you!

I had a metatarsal stress fracture at the beginning of the year.  I took about 10 weeks off running.  Since I've been back to running, I haven't done any (zippo, zilch) speed training.  My paces are almost back up to where they were pre-strees fracture.  I think the streaking is helping my body build durability back up.  I'm not sure what is going to happen when I add speed training back.  I imagine my race paces will get faster.

I've never done any sort of speed work. I got sick a couple weeks ago and ran a total of 5 miles in 4 days. Once my lungs finally cleared up, my automatic easy pace was magically 45-60 seconds/mile faster than before I got sick. I think the 4 light days in a row allowed me to clear out some accumulated fatigue. I have learned the importance of light days and cutback weeks.

OK My challenge friends, need some clarification.

My daughter had her wisdom teeth out today and was a very pathetic girl. I spent the morning in the DR office and the rest of the day caring for my girl. I was not able to get my run in today so...

Can I do a "make up" run  tomorrow at 5:00 am(alarm already set)  and then do another run later in the day to stay on schedule

OR

Do I start my run count at day 1 again.

Regardless of your answer I will still do my morning run. This challenge and all of you have been such an inspiration

If you're posting from California, you still have almost 2.5 hours to get today's mile in.

Day 9 for me was 1.1 miles in freezing cold rain. Gotta love that weather. I have an indoor triathlon this afternoon, so as long as I can run more than 1 mile in 20 minutes I should be good for today's mile

Stuff happens. The intent of the challenge was to try and get that mile no matter what when you had planned things like an xmas party or something. Having a sick kid can totally turn the tides. My wife is a teacher and had an event last night that she thought she'd be home around 6. Turns out she didn't get home until 10 so I had to do my mile after I'm usually in bed. I think if you do two runs today you'll be fine

I'm in!  Most of my miles are walking since I had foot surgery a couple months ago, but I've done a mile each day since Thanksgiving.

Did 2.7 miles in 20 minutes during my indoor tri yesterday. Going out in a few for a nice slow, long run while my wife is grading papers (high school spanish teacher) and watching a Lifetime movie.

Nice run.

Yesterday I ran a 10k in the coldest weather I have ever run in.  Did another 6 today.  It was about 30 degrees but felt downright balmy after yesterday.

The boat was being tossed around. Someone noted that there were whitecaps on the waves. Another guy said, “This is going to be challenging.” I began to wonder what he meant by 'challenging'.
