Went on amazon and saw a bunch of maps and hiking books on the grand canyon trails. Can you recommend some websites and books that have useful info on running the r2r2r trail. Looking for logistics such as where to stay, what to bring on trail, food/liquids, types of clothing to bring, emergency gear, etc. Not running this anytime soon but would like to start making plans. Also, has anyone on here ever ran the r2r and then stayed in a hotel and ran back to the starting point the next day?

Also used his advice when doing a Trans Zion run across Zion NP. Very good info.

I first decided I was going to "do" a triathlon in 1994. It wasn't until 13 years later, in 2007 that I actually did. Why did it take me 13 years to get to the starting line? The swim!

“Too bad there’s not anything like this for triathletes.” There are a million books and articles on how to train. One of the toughest parts of triathlon training is how to fit them into everyday life.

Without a doubt, we begin to notice patterns in our training performances. We notice when our good and bad days repeat themselves in our logbook.
