Subject: Cardio Base Training plan
Anyone have a plan to help me build a good cardio base?

Currently I can run 3mi if I had to but it would be tough. I do own a HR monitor and will start using it again.

I am just looking for a program that will boost my cardio base so I can run longer. I am unsure as to how long a program like this should before.

I also want to do some cycling along with the running as well.

Any suggestions?

Starting at the beginning or in the middle of the Beginner Exercise Plan will do just that - it starts off with biking and weights, then swimming and running are added in.  There are 7months so far.  If it IS tough for you to run 3miles, then if you follow the plan, when you then bring running back in according to the plan, it should be easier.
