1 breakfast sandwich about an hour before race
2 scoops C4 in 24oz water 30 minutes before race

Comments:

Path was very wet and flooded in areas, requiring detours.

Got very hungry around mm6, ate 1/2 a PowerBar. Took GU gels at mm7 and 10.

What would you do differently?:

Run in warmer weather LOL.
Eat more pre-race to avoid hunger.
Post race
Warm down:

Walking around and back to car
Changing clothes!

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Cold, first time at distance

Event comments:

Weather was interesting, but made the accomplishment so much better!

I think quite truly for the first time I 'get it'. It's not just about the fitness. It's not just about the great little endorphin rush as you hit 5, 10, 15 miles...its not just the medal at the end.
