OK I know probably not many people are going to care but I am so PSYCHED about this I can't even tell you and I wanted to share.  I have never really 'gotten' the HR training thing.  I mean I understand the principles but for me it has never really corresponded to my effort at all and it just didnt' work very well for me.  I just felt like it was a giant waste of time....Then I started coached training so I kind a had to pay more attention to it but basically for me I thought it was a bunch of crap for the most part because it never seemed to correspond to how I felt...not even close.

I recently discovered I have exercise induced asthma (yes during a race but anyway) I FINALLY got the inhaler I am supposed to use 20 minutes before exercise and used it for the first time today.  HOLY SMOKES.....what a difference.  Its amazing what a little oxygen will do for you!!!  Faster with less effort, less sweat (significant for me) at a much lower heart rate and I didn't feel like a wet rag when I got done!!! Ok NOW I get the HR thing because it actually corresponded to what I was feeling for the FIRST TIME.  I'm so excited....can't wait to see what happens when I RUN!!!  Too cool.

Isn't it amazing when you finally listen to what someone is telling you and it actually works?  I seem to remember that a short while ago, a certain Florida doctor was lecturing me on how to take care of my hamstring injury!

Wow...does that mean you're really fast now?  You're gonna cruise through IMFL.  Woooo hooooo!!!
