I'm wanting to get a bento speed box for my P2, which obviously don't have the screw bosses in the top tube. Has anyone modified it to get rid of the two straps that go around the top tube? I thought about getting some hook and loop and putting a strip on the top tube and then on the bottom of the bag, more specifically the Xlab rocket pocket. Has anyone done this? Thoughts?

You can add a velcro strip to the top tube and attach it that way, but keep in mind, that it will limit how much weight you can put in it.

I would skip the idea all together and get a Dark Speed Works box instead.

Well all I'd be putting in there is a few gel packs and other light weight stuff. The phone, spare tube, CO2's are going to go in the Mezzo bag in the rear. If I bought the speed works I'd be at the same question now. I'm just trying to make it look cleaner I guess.

I can't get my gel pack out of my back pocket and then get it open to eat! I know this sounds really beginnerish, but what tricks or tools can I use to be able to have my food more accessible?

One way to improve your speed is to do track work that totals the time and distance goal. The idea is to slowly condition your body to be comfortable at your goal pace.
