Subject: Hello everyone I can't believe I'm here... (seriously planning on participating in a 1/2 triathalon in summer 2005 ) I use to be somewhat athletic ( 12 years on a summer swim team and 5 years in the USMC ) but since getting married and raising 2 kids, I have let my physical fitness slide the bottom of my priorities. I find myself currently 70lbs overweight and out of breath just to climb the stairs in my house. Last week, a friend asked me if I was interested in participating in a 1/2 triathalon in Seattle in the summer of 2005. Considering I turn 40 next year and am SO ready for some positive changes in my life, I decided it is a perfect opportunity for me to get motivated about exercise and eating right!!
It is nice to find a sight where people from all stages of fitness can chat and share their experiences. I look forward to learning from you all!
PS I'm such a noob, I don't even know what order the race is done in......??? HeHe, guess it is time to go do some research!
