Subject: Getting back into tri's
Hello everyone. I'm working on getting back to triathlons this year, after spending the last few years with other injuries. I'm 56, and I've spent the last 6 months changing my diet, losing 20 pounds, and working with a personal trainer on head to toe conditioning, while we slowly mixed in biking, running and swimming. I'm now up to riding 35 miles on the bike at about 16mph, running 20 minutes straight and swimming 20 minutes straight. I feel good and I feel strong, and in the best overal shape in years. Now feel I'm ready to start a specific triathlon training program. Does anyone have any recommendations? I've checked the sprint training programs and they don't see specific enough, unless I missed something.

Thanks for any recommendations.

Greg

Hi, welcome back to triathlons! Super progress.

There's a fair bit of difference between the stock free plans and the ones that come with a paid membership (which has a huge range of perks not just the more detailed training programs including how to execute individual workouts, and generally single stock training plans alone are significantly more expensive elsewheres).
