Subject: FS: 2013 Specialized Epic Comp Carbon, Medium
I'm selling my 2013 Epic Comp Carbon, Medium size... this is a highly modified and lightened bike... I wanted an Sworks, but couldn't afford one, so I found the absolute best parts, strongest and lightest for the best $$$. This bike weighs a scant 22.9lbs or with pedals, bottle holder, magnets and whatnot, it's 24.15lbs. Originally, it was 26.5lbs naked from the LBS. An Sworks weighs a smidgle above 22 lbs naked. This Epic has room for lowering weight, such as a weight weenie carbon wheelset, carbon crankset, SRAM XX XG1099 cassette, Rockshox SID XX World Cup front end, Magura RT8 CF brakes, or even the CF rear seat stays... those parts are expensive but would knock another 1.5lbs at least off the bike.... that would make a 23lb bike with EVERYTHING!!! For a full susser... THATS LIGHT!!! This bike is lightweight, strong and climbs like a beast. I've set this up as a 1 x 10.

Specs:
2013 Epic Comp Carbon - Fact 9R carbon frame with M5 aluminum rear triangle
FSA K Force Nano flatbar cut to 640mm
Magura TS8R front fork - a less expensive version of the XX WC type fork
Magura MT6 disc brakes with 180mm front and 160 rear
Candy 2 pedals
Zipp Service Course SL 90mm stem
Shimano XCR UD seatpost - about 200gm
Forte XFR with Ti rails saddle - very nice for the price and low weight
E13 XCX plus 175mm crankset - light weight - 104bcd - 2 x or 1 x setup
E13 XCX PF30 BB
RaceFace Narrow Wide 36T and include the 34T chainring
SRAM XG1070 11-36 cassette
Shimano XTR RD
Shimano XT Rear Shifter
Mavic Crossmax SLR wheelset
Specialized Ground Control front tire - tubeless setup
Specialized S works Fast Track rear tire - tubeless setup
Garmin cadence/speed sensor
SRAM 1091 chain

This bike will come as equipped with the bottle cage, pedals, EVERYTHING.

I'm anal about cleanliness and washed it after every ride, and broke apart the bottom bracket and cleaned and relubed everything.

I don't know how much I spent, sometimes ignorance is bliss... LOL... funny how it cost more to setup this bike than my freaking SHIV.

OT: I found riding an alternative bike like this was extremely beneficial to improving my biking skills and speed.... I want to switch over to a cyclocross bike for offroading, since I, in no way, use this bike like it's intended... to race Xterra, XC or Marathon events... which I had planned but found it difficult to find such events that where A) close to home... or B) didn't conflict with the triathlon schedule.

I have more detailed pics if needed

$4200 obo

PM if interested

I've listed this locally and may do it on Ebay too... just tossing it out here.
