I'm just getting into the sport, and don't have the budget at the moment for a Garmin. I've been using my iphone to track my mileage with Map My Fitness. Anything else you all recommend downloading? Thanks!!

I use Endomondo for both run and bike.  It has performed very well for me all over the country (no GPS tracking issues).

I love the wahoo fitness app. It's really flexible and can upload to training peaks, mapmyfitness and others. It works great as is, but It also integrates well with their Bluetooth hr monitor and speed/cadence sensor. It's free too.

I use both Strava and Runkeeper and I use https://tapiriik.com/to sync them.

X2 on endomondo for all of my sports and have used in many places all over the world. Great free app, love the pep talks from friends telling me to kick it when I'm dogging it!

Strava for trackingtraining and bragging with friends.

Runsafe(Runzi) cadence timer, really helped get my running cadence up to 180
