If anyone owns a Orca wetsuit do you like it? What are your likes and dislikes about the wetsuit? Just curious?

YES! Bought it one month ago and raced in it for the first time on Sunday. I love that thing to pieces (I hate OWS, normally). But its my first suit so I don't know if I could add much more. But it fits me well and its comfortable.

I have a sleeveless speedsuit, one race and a few open water swims so far so good. The only gripe that seems to be common is chaffing around the arms, other than that it has helped my swim considerably. Its an entry level suit so I get what I paid for, but I'd recommend it.

Was the arm chaffing due to the fact that the suit was sleeveless?  I am just curious if this type of problem also occurs with full suits.

I have the sleeveless speedsuit, too.  Chafing on arms and neck are both taken care of by generous Body Glide application.  And yes, the arm rub is due to the edges of the suit that are a bit thicker than the rest and are right under the arms.

I have rented a xterra vortex and Its was really uncomfortable. I also rented a xterra vegeance and it was great. I felt like I could breathe in the vegeance. I see alot of orca suits on e-bay for sale and thats why I was curious you all had these suits and it you liked them. I really want to get a suit that I can feel like I can breathe in it when I swim. Thanks for your comments

I have the full speedsuit from Orca, and I love it.  xterra and ironman brands were both too constrictive in the neck, but not Orca.  I highly recommend it for good overall buoyance and a really good freedom of movement, even with full sleeves.

The first time or two I used the speedsuit, I did feel like I had a hard time breathing.  After a few training swims in it, the feeling went away, though.  I've had no problems since.

I also have a Orca fullsuit. Have not used any other wetsuits, but I will agree generous amounts of body glide and no problems with chafing. My only problem know is that I am addicted to it and when the water is above wetsuit temp, it kind of bums me out (such as my olympic today). Mine does not feel restrictive and fits me like it is supposed to. The more I swim in it the better it feels.

I have a speedsuit and recommend them without hesitation. It was a little tight to start with and I went back to the Orca store to try other sizes and we tried other suits but it was the right size so it takes a number of swims before it becomes really comfortable.

If these are the suits from *wetsuitman* then by all means BUY ONE!!  I purchased a sleeveless speedsuit a few weeks back and love it...I have never owned one before so I can not compare it to others, but all I can say is it was well worth the investment of $100, and he ships FAST!!
