I've had this 310XT for many years and it has served me well until Sunday when I hopped into a lake for a sprint triathlon. The display got a lot of moisture inside and I thought perhaps it was a fluke. It seemed to "dry out" after the race, but this morning the moisture inside the glass returned on my run. The unit still works and charges properly, but it's difficult to read.

Anyone else encounter this? Is it done for?

My wife's 310 is doing that. Only because it is hot and humid here. Also there is a hole in the rubber where the top right button is.

I had an old garmin that did that. turned out that it died after about a month of it, the seal had been leaking and everything corroded.

Sometimes when it's humid I get a little condensation in mine, thought this was going to be that.   But no, yours is clearly a leak.  It won't be long now.....

If I remember correctly a hair dryer on low setting or I think leaving it in your car if the temp is warm where you live should get the moisture out.  If not then you may be in trouble soon as I believe the inside will corrode.  It does seem that you have a leak so I wouldn't take it in the water any more.

Mine filled with water during my OLY swim warm-up last weekend...
Garmin will exchange it for another for $99 or will give you $99 credit towards another unit if you upgrade.
So, in my case, it was a perfect opportunity to get a 910XT. :-)

Also, I put mine in a bag of rice and that removed the moisture. It still works perfectly for running and biking.

Interesting - I've emailed customer support to see what they say.

Thanks everyone, and RIP to my faithful orange buddy

I went into the pool area (as this was a pool swim) and got body marked. That's when it hit me that I was there to race - this was not a clinic.
