Subject: SWAG?

Two weeks ago I swam the Kelwona "Across the Lake Swim" (2.1km).  It was a lot of fun and well run plus the Swag (including a small pack and large race beach towel) was pretty good for an inexpensive race.  Then last Sunday at IMCalgary 70.3 we got a cowboy belt buckle medal and a finisher t-shirt at the finish line.

So what have you gotten in your past swag bags that you thought was pretty good?

The SE Asia tri scene tends to be really thin on the swag. But I remember a couple of strange ones--At my first triathlon, female competitors received a jar of pretty expensive "anti-aging whitening face cream". Maybe they thought we looked too tanned and wrinkly? Singapore races seem to feature local startup products in the swag bag. I once got a complete set of skin/hair care stuff supposedly formulated for triathletes (which had ginger and lemongrass and smelled really good) and somebody's idea for an energy snack called (really) "Kicka$$ Balls". Both products were quite good but I guess ultimately never caught on--never saw them retailed on subsequent trips.

I've seen a lot of the same stuff in the goodie bags, water bottles, moisturizer samples, etc. But at IM Switzerland they included some kind of traditional Swiss card game which was pretty cool. It was way too complicated for me to wrap my simple little brain around, but I appreciated that they included something special and cultural, and I still have the deck in my workout bag.
