Subject: WTB Rear Wheel and Cassette for Trainer Use
Friends,

I've recently acquired a stationary trainer, and I'm afraid that my current wheelset and tires (in good condition) will get torn up very quickly if I keep up the current usage.

If anyone has a rear wheel/tire/cassette laying around that they would be willing to part with for a decent price (college student's lame budget) then please let me know! I honestly don't know what a good price is, so please send me your offers and pardon my ignorance.

Thanks!

hey - for what its worth, i looked into doing the same a while back. check ebay, you can probably get the wheel/cassette for about $100 and just get a tire or use an old one for it. make sure the cassette is the same as you have on your "good" wheel so you dont need to mess around with anything else.

I have a Shimano 105, 12-25 cassette, still in good condition. $20 shipped to you.

PM me if you are interested.

I have a DT Swiss trainer wheelset, I'll let it go for $100 plus shipping. It came off a specialized new bike and I never really used it, so, it is still a 9 of 10 wheelset.

You may want to check with your LBS. Sometimes they have damaged wheels from customers sitting around which will work fine for trainer use. I got mine for free that way.
