Subject: Bike crash = busted Garmin
Long story short is I crashed 2 weeks ago during a training
Ride and my Garmin 310 took a lot of the impact. It still works
But the screen is shattered. Anyone know if the screen is
Replaceable and if so how much it costs? Thx guys.

Call Garmin. They have a reasonable program where you can pick a refurb up for somewhere around what it would cost to replace the crystal.

Garmin can repair it. My wife had her 310XT caught in a door and crushed the screen. Can't remember how much it was, but it was surprisingly inexpensive.

Keith,

Last time I checked (a few weeks ago), if you send your unit into Garmin, they will exchange it for a refurbished unit for $99. You can also send in your broken unit and get $99 towards the purchase of an upgrade.

quite true.

 

but- weren't you looking for an excuse to spend some of your hard earned cash on a brand new unit  I see this as an opportunity!

An Edge 510 would look very nice on your bike.
