Subject: Advice leading up to KC 1/2 So I have been training for my first half. The plan I have been following has me doing three runs during the week with my long run on Saturday. All was going well until a couple weeks back when I got knocked on my arse by the flu. This lead to 10-days of no activity. Just prior to that my long run was 8-miles and went fairly well.
Since getting back to training I just now worked my way back up to a 6-mile run this morning.
So my questions is this. With only two more weeks until the KC 1/2, how should I approach my final two weeks to make up some ground? Especially how should I approach next Saturdays long run...should I push to get in 10-miles which is what my plan called for today or should I do 8-miles so that I can be fresh going into the following weekend? |
