Subject: Been awhile
So, I registered on this site several months ago. Unfortunately due to the stresses of my life I lost focus of my original goal (sprint tri this fall). So, just getting back into training and thought that I would re-introduce myself. My name is Sherolyn and my now realistic goal is to run a 5K this fall, maybe a 10K late fall (if training goes well!) and run my sprint next spring. That gives me plenty of time to train! My biggest problem is that I want to be able to do it all NOW! I don't want to have to wait! Anyways, will be back on this site on a regular basis.

Ron---you should be proud! This site has come a long way in the last several months. I was amazed when I made my way back!!

That's great that you are back. You are definitely a winner with the tenacity to keep it up. I'm not patient either. I started doing 5k's a couple of years ago. One thing that will help get ready is run short distances each morning (about 15 minutes). I have a running coach and he told me that the morning runs are the key. I've had great luck with it. Maybe you will too.

Started doing a 30 minute run before going to work at noon. I have to admit, I no longer need the morning cup of coffee (but now need a cup at night). I am so much more awake and able to deal with the stress of my job and think clearly. I relate it to being able to conquer the day!
