Before I drop a month's worth of disposable income, I'd like to hear what membership you chose and why? What makes Silver or Gold worth the extra money?

I decided to stick w/ the Bronze level for another year. The most notable difference I could see with the next level were the additional training plans and the coaching option. Since I'm not planning on using either, I didn't see the need to upgrade to something higher.

I have silver because there are more plans to look at, specifically at intermediate level which is pretty much where I am when you average out the three events. While I don't really follow the plans verbatim, I liked to have them for reference. I also like the feature where you can input a plan and move workouts around--don't think that works with the free membership. Too lazy to put stuff in my own spreadsheet.

Any gold members really see a difference between gold and silver? Have questions about the HR upgrade

I upgraded to Gold a little over a year ago. I like the winter maintenance plans and the ability to customize a plan. If my math is right, the yearly price differential from silver to gold is about $5 per month. For me, the customized plans are worth it.

I upgraded to gold purely for the customized training plans.

I think if you upgrade today, you will still get the discount and it will extend your membership...I think that's the way to go.

When it says hr zone info on every workout, can someone post a screen shot? Does it break out your zones for each individual workout, etc?

Take a look at these. This is some random run from a while back. I am in off-season, so am hit or miss on if I use my HR monitor or not, so I had to go back a bit.

On that first link, mainly focus on the HR info on the right. I didn't position the screen right, so you can't see the workout in the log. But it's a run from 9/21. The next two links show more detail on that run.

You can set your HR zones and then analyze time spent in each zone. Works for Run and Bike.

I went silver level so I could get the intermediate plans for 1/2 and full IM. I used the intermediate for my 1/2 IM and it worked great for my time commitments and the rate of building to peak seemed to work well with my body. I plan to use the intermediate plan for my full this year.

Did you have to enter your time in each zone manually or did the info upload automatically from your hr monitor?

You set the Hr zones one time and it will automatically read the Hr data from your workout data. There is no manual entry.

I'm on the free membership and I've been able to do custom plans. Granted the plans just post up with distance so there's no breakdown about what specifically to do (ie:400 free, 150 kick, etc...), but I can set my goal distances, how many workouts per discipline per week, and when recovery weeks are.
