Subject: How do you compare Adamo saddles?
I am currently shopping for a tri bike saddle, focused on ISM Adamo Road, Time Trial, and Prologue. How do you compare the three? I am female, 5'2, this is for Ironman training in the new season. Thanks much!

The width at the nose can vary, and so can the cushioning. The Adamo Road has some nice cushioning, but many people find the nose to be too wide. If you have a good local bike shop that would let you try a few out, that would be ideal.

If you order them, just make sure you get it from a place with a good return policy. Also, some people will zip tie the front of the saddle to pinch the nose to help with the width issue on some of their saddles, so if you do like the Road, this may be an option.

Good luck!

If you have a tri/bike shop that sells them, they should carry demo saddles.  I went in to my fitter set on an Adamo but didn't like any of them and ending up demoing a Cobb Max for two weeks.  I found the Adamo to have a very limited sweet spot for comfort.

I do know that Cobb has a complete line of demo saddles that are an ugly bright green.

If you have a good LBS that you have a relationship with, then (hopefully) you can get a demo or 3 from them. Mine got an Adamo Road and a Tri for me to test and I ended up with the Road. Saddles can be tricky, so any demo time you can get on ANY brand/saddle will be worth while.

ETA: I also demoed other brands that they gave me as well.

And if you can't find one that works....like me....try the Bontrager RXL Speed Dial. It's pricey at $250 and honestly a bit heavy, but worth every penny to be able to literally dial in your fit.

After a while on my first longish ride, I noticed that I was getting numb. It’s scary. “Will feeling return?” is the first thing that comes to mind.

The ISM Adamo Racing Saddle is difficult to define. It doesn’t look like a bicycle saddle. It doesn’t mount like a bicycle saddle. And yet, it does feel like a bicycle saddle.
