I just found this site and I love it! My name is Tonya, I am 33, and married with 4 kids ages 12 to 4. I am doing my first tri in August. It is in Effingham, IL. I signed up for the Olympic Distance and I am terrified. Not even sure of what but I am going to be a wreck the morning of the race. That is all for now and any advice would be appreciated.

Welcome to the site Tonya! Good luck with your training! Our four kids are 6, 7, 9, and 12 so our house is probably almost as active as yours! It's a challenge to find training time, but it's worth it.

Tonya,
Welcome! I signed up for three Olympic distance tri's before ever doing one. You talk about terrified! If you hang around this website, use the training logs your going to do great. My first was June 27 and I had fun, not like Disneyworld fun, but fun nontheless. And seeing the finishline for the first time is a great feeling.
