Subject: RE: Taken the plunge! Yeah - trying to do at least a little every day - taking it easy to build up hoping that the weight loss will make things easier as it goes.
The swim was tough - had a good few stops in it - but I'm aware that my technique is terrible - hence I know I need to fix that. Trying to read up on things as much as possible and put that into practice to make it more effective. Really if I can plod through the swim, I'm happy that I'll get the rest done.
Realistically my target is to finish; even if I'm dead last and everyone else has gone home, that's fine.
Once I can swim the 400 without having to have a rest, and my rear gets used to longer in the saddle I'll be a happy man. I know it's different doing the run after swim and bike that just running; but when it gets to that stage I'll be happy!
Run this evening (will try to get through the full 3K ) and then swim in the morning
Cheers!
