Subject: Aerobottles on Jammer GT clip-on aerobars
Hi, I saw there was a thread back in 2008 regarding aerobottles and Jammer GT aerobars but I'm sure some things have changed.
Does anyone use an aerobottle system with Jammer GT aerobars, if so, which set-up have you found that works? I only have about 2 5/8" between my bars as I also have narrow handlebars - so my brackets are mounted adjacent to my stem.
I'm desperately looking for something that works - I've even emailed Profile Design with pictures of my bike for suggestions and am awaiting their reply.

Thank you for any input.
~Jenn

Taken care of! The Aqualite bottle works great with the mounting bracket (sold separately). I used zip-ties to put it on instead of the tape and velcro they supplied. It works great - don't know why PD said they didn't recommend it..

I'm probably going to try this setup soon, and using the zip ties clearly the more sturdy way to go. What have you done to combat the splashing and leakage that some have complained about?

The only time I really get any splashing is if it's filled to the top and/or I go over some rough road or a good bump. The yellow netting thing does a decent job of holding the straw in place and dampening some of the splashing and the black sort of neoprene quick fill area is okay. To fill it on the fly is so very easy - just don't fill it to the very top and you'll have less issues with much escaping.

Honestly looking back I think I wouldn't get the Jammer GT's again - they're too short for my long arms...but I still have them and use them.

What should I consider when adding aero bars? What are good brands? Are there pitfalls to be aware of? How can I adjust them to fit me?
